Q: Hold up, your a Christian rapper?
A: Yes.
Q: Wait, I don't get
it. It sounds like there is two different people in alot of your songs? Who is the guy singing?
A: I rap and sing...that's me doing everything.
Q:
Hold the phone...you can do that? Is that alowed?
A: Yeah I do both...most
people don't get it.
Q: Why is your music so different from
song to song?
A: I'm a creative guy. I have all sorts of moods...that reflects
in the music I make.
Q: Are you big time yet? Like are you
signed to a major label?
A: I'm big time in everything I do...and no, I'm not signed to a major label. 99.9% of them are moron crooks with no idea of what music
is.
Q: Wait, so how do you have a website and music on itunes
and a bajillion fans and stuff?
A: I do everything myself...from the web
design to music writing and creation. I do it all. God has blessed me with many many talents, patience and awesomely loyal
fans that love me for me.
Q: Cool. So if a major record
label was like, 'Yo, here's 100 billion dollars to join us', you'd say no??!!
A:
It depends on the situation, and most importantly the kind of people they are. As of now, I'm doing just fine without any
help.
Q: How much do you make a year? 10 million?
A: Not even close. At this point music is my career, but I do other things for income
as well.
Q: Okay, so...do you work with anyone else...like,
do you have a band?
A: I have worked with many people that have come and
gone over the years. But nowadays, I work with my right hand man Mike Dailey. One of my best friends, and we got an amazing
dynamic together.
Q: What does he do? Mike?
A: We both do what we are good at...he is a great guitar player. So more often then not, when you
hear guitar in my songs or come to my shows, he'll be there jammin' and singin' with me.
Q: A two man band ey?
A: For now yes...we rip that stage
up as a duo.
Q: Why is there a 'parental advisory' sticker
on some of you music? I thought you were supposed to be a Christian?
A:
I don't curse in any of my music nowadays. But, when I first started out I did...cause I didn't have the right mindset and
mission. Nowadays, if you do happen to see that a new song of mine is labeled 'Explicit', it means the person in the song
with me is responsible for it. I work with all different types of musicians and styles so occasionally there will be an explicit
song that I am part of. Again, I don't swear in my music anymore...and try to keep everything I do appropriate. But as humans,
we are far from perfect...including me.
Q: So, when did
you start doing music and why?
A: I started out as a kid. As a youngster,
my Grandpa had a recording studio and was an amazing musician himself. I was always fascinated by what he did, and he always
sat me in front of the mic and made me sing and play. My mom, his daughter, was a great musician too. She used to have me
practice and get the lead of every musical and play ever. I was pretty good at it too...but as a kid I was made to do it.
So, as high school came around and I had freedom...I geared more towards sports. It wasn't until my senior year of high school
that I really wanted to start getting into music and start writing my own songs. I started, then one thing lead to another
over the years, and now here I am.
Q: OMG you're so friggin hot! Do you have a girlfriend...you're not married are you?
A: No, I'm not married...but as far as my love life, I like to keep that personal.
Q: So, I saw one of your shows a few years back and
recently saw you live, and it's completely different. Why?
A: My music has grown and I've grown up a bunch...in a good way.
